These can include a house, a barn, a classroom, a stadium, a stage, or even an imagined space. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you? With this prompt colleges are looking for students to reveal one of their core personal values and show personal growth.

Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. The best essays will be honest and reflective as they explore the difficulty of working against the status quo or a firmly held belief.
